Super 6: Round 10

Reading Time: 2 minutes

An international break interrupts the Fantasy Premier League action again this week, so we turn our attention to Sky’s Super 6 Round 10.

Super 6 Round 10 Matches

Bradford City vs Shrewsbury Town

Bradford are in good form coming into this match. They have won their last two League One matches and look set to add to that against a struggling Shrewsbury. Defensively, Bradford are sound and boast the best defence in league having only conceded 7 goals so far. Shrewsbury in contrast have drawn their last three games 1-1. However, their decent defensive efforts are being cancelled out by a lack of goals. They are currently averaging 1 a game.

Prediction: Bradford 2-1 Shrewsbury

Gillingham vs Oldham Athletic

A good result for either team is hard to come by over the last 5 league matches. However, Gillingham do edge it with a win against Coventry three matches ago. The Gillingham defence have shipped a few goals this season, 21 for those who have not checked. Most of them have come while playing away. Oldham will be encouraged to face a faltering defence. But, for a team who have only scored 5 so far their chances for a win are slim.

Prediction: Gillingham 2-1 Oldham

Rochdale vs Southend United

Rochdale are bouncing back magnificently after a slow start to the season. Unbeaten in their last 5 league matches and winning the last four sets them up nicely for this fixture. In the last 5 matches, in all competitions, Rochdale have won by a single goal. Southend have had a decent run of results recently but still find themselves 21st in the league. Away form is costing Southend dearly, the last three away games have seen them concede 9 goals while only scoring 1.

Prediction: Rochdale 2-0 Southend

Scunthorpe United vs Northampton Town

Scunthorpe are sitting pretty on top of League One with a three point buffer over second place. They have the leagues most prolific attack that has amassed 26 goals in 11 matches. So, it is no surprise that they are unbeaten in the last six league outings. Northampton have been a bit patchy in the league recently suffering defeats to Chesterfield and Bristol Rovers. The visitors are good for a goal themselves, scoring 18 in 11 matches.

Prediction: Scunthorpe 2-1 Northampton

Luton Town vs Crewe Alexandra

Luton go into this weekends match with the second highest goal tally in the league. They have managed 20 goals in 11 matches, with 11 goals coming at home. Of their 12 goals conceded, its a 50/50 split between home and away. Crewe are currently even on goal difference, both scoring and conceding 15 goals. Away from home they have scored 6 of their 15 goals, while conceding 9. Luton are yet to keep a clean sheet at home and are predicted to still be looking for one after this week.

Prediction: Luton 2-1 Crewe

Hartlepool United vs Crawley Town

Hartlepool find themselves sitting mid-table as they host Crawley this week. Last week they were able to break a run of three draws to beat Grimsby away. The hosts have scored more goals than their opponents this season, 17 goals in 11 games. Surprisingly, 12 of those 17 goals have come while playing away. Hartlepool have conceded more goals that Crawley too, with only 6 of the 18 goals coming at home. Crawley have scored and conceded 13 so far in this campaign and are currently 5th in the table. Their away form has seen them score 6 while conceding 8. This is a hard tie to separate, so the prediction is a draw.

Prediction: Hartlepool 1-1 Crawley
